The original 2012 acrylic painting is on a 24x12 panoramic gallery wrapped canvas titled "Getaway". The sides were painted wrap-around style and ready to be hung without the need for framing and back stapled. The seascape scene is of a beach tropical getaway in Mexico with a blend of colorful blues of the sea. The thatch pergola and shadowing was what really made this an interesting scene against the sky and capturing the correct perspective. Hope you enjoy.
Hello all. I recently took up painting in 2012 after helping my sons with an art project and had forgot how creating artwork puts me in my happy place! My current medium is acrylic paint on stretched canvas via brush and sponging techniques. No computer based digital paintings, just old school painting as that is what interests me the most. My subject matter has been around my love for the outdoors, fishing, travel, landscapes and that's right... homemade pizza! IT consultant by day but hope to paint many more pictures in the future with some originals for sale besides prints.
